Time: 1:00pm to 2:15pm After her speech, Misako will hold a book signing. You will also be able to selected works hung in the Art Gallery. July 15th July 24th (Sat)

Anime Central (ACen) is Chicago’s and the Midwest’s largest anime, manga and Japanese popular culture convention. As part of its mission, ACen brings fans together with guests from the Japanese and US sectors of the anime and manga industry, as well as gaming, cinema, and Asian culture personalities. The event includes a huge exhibit hall, a massive video game room, concerts, dances, educational panels and workshops, premiere screenings, autograph sessions, 24-hour video rooms, tabletop gaming and much, much more! Misako is going to run two panels at Acen this year. Come on down! April 30th

六本木のアカデミーヒルズで４月１４日午後７時から９時まで、講演会・サイン会が決定しました。 アメリカ出版市場、マーケティング、私のクレイジーな過去、NY高校生のビデオインタビューなど盛りだくさんでお話します！日本語で初めてスピーチするので、ドッキドキです。 アカデミーヒルズで申し込みサイトがアップされました。皆さんが来てくれること楽しみに待ってます！ Ok. Ok. Did you get that? Misako was just telling you how she will be giving a speech and signing books at academyhills in Roppongi - Tokyo, Japan. She will be covering topics like: the difference between American and Japanese publishing, trends, personal journeys and the future of manga in America. Come out and see it if you can! March 17th Upcoming Event! Misako curated a fun little art show that is opening this Thursday the 18th at Eleanor Roosevelt High school Below are the super cool artists involved: January 20th Kinokuniy Books is going to be celebrating Misako's recent "Woman of the Year" nomination. Misako will demonstrate how to make comics and sign books from 2:00pm to 2:45pm. Should be a whole lot of fun! See you there! December 10th  Whoa! Hey there! Things have been busy. Nekkei Woman recently chose Misako as one of the 15 Women of the year! There was a pretty awesome event held in Tokyo celebrating all of these 15 amazing women! Check the blog for some pics. October 1st  New York Times: Great Children's Read October 4th 10am - 5pm Featured entertainment at the Target Children’s Stage this year will include performances by Justin Roberts & the Not Ready for Naptime Players, Peter Yarrow, Playhouse Disney’s “Choo-Choo Soul,” John Carter Cash, Hip Hop Harry and Yo Gabba Gabba! ......and of course, Misako Rocks! Misako will be giving a demonstration and book signing for the little ones. Just stop by the NY Comicon booth from 11am - 1pm to join in! Come one, come all! September 22nd  AnimeFest NYC! September 25th - 27th Misako will be at this year's Anime Festival in NYC hosted at the Javits Center! Misako's schedule is as follows: Sept 26th (2:45pm - 3:45pm) Voice acting workshop with Veronica Tayler and drawings by Misako. Sept 27th (12:30pm - 1:30pm) Manga drawing workshop with Misako Sept 27th (2pm -3pm) Book signing in the "Ginger Room" September 14th Misako will be presenting at the Anime Weekend Atlanta this week. Misako will be attending this year's Anime Fest in Dallas, Texas. So, dust off that mechanical bull you have sitting in your garage and ride/mosey on out! August 12th  Japan's NHK TV featured Misako in a series called New York Wave. (In Japanese) This half-hour program will follow Misako as she dances through her daily routines of teaching, presenting, convention-ing, drawing, biking, MJ worshiping, yoga-ing, hanging out on rooftops and trying to come up with answer as to what it is exactly that makes her do the things she does!
